Used call back when 27 th in line to get through. Call back, booked appointment for next day with nurse.
Nurse running a bit late but so problem and treatment good.

I, like many find booking very stressful . When a Dr directs you to come back in so many weeks....the diary is not open . If a booking is required in a few days ...computer says 'no ' .

I had two incision and drains in an abscess under general anaesthetic. There were not enough wound care nurses at the health centre to give me daily appointments for dressing change. And there were none available for the four day Easter weekend so my untrained daughter had to insert a square of gauze into the open wound and dress it each day for me. It should’ve been packed each day. This is ridiculous.If I have to have a third I and D I will be so disappointed. It is having a knock-on effect to my mental health and my well-being.

We are sorry we were not able to provide you appointments each day for your dressing. Depending on the nature of the appointment we have different time scales of availability. Nurse’s appointments are usually available within a week sometimes sooner. The surgery is closed on weekends and Bank Holiday and therefore we are not able to offer appointments on these days, however we can sometimes offer dressing appointments with our Enhanced Clinics if there are available appointments.
